TRETO UVO (Third Ear) was established 1990 in Skopje as the first Macedonian independent record company. It heralded a new era in the music production of Macedonia - the tiny land land-locked Republic in the heart of the troubled Balkans.

In the folklore of the Balkans, "Treto Uvo (Third Ear)" symbolizes deeper aural sensation and an intuitive and passionate insight of music.

Treto Uvo manages the legends of Macedonian contemporary music, i.e the most significant representatives of Macedonian music in the world today. Treto Uvo promotes and organize tours for the Macedonian Opera Ballet Ensemble worldwide.

Treto Uvo is run by a team of young people, led by Ivo Jankoski, the founder of the company.The team are dedicated in their permanent search for the beauty in the music ... from the driving rhythms of the tapans (drums) and zurla, kaval (flute) and gajda (bagpipe), the haunting melodies and choral harmonies that have changed a little through the centuries ... to electric guitars, modern tecnology, computers, samplers, syntheizers...

Treto Uvo organizes the famous BALKAN MUSIC SQUARE FESTIVAL every summer in the Antique Theatre in Ohrid. It is a free-admittance festival in an open air space, that gives opportunity to enjoy the music of the famous artists all over the world and "To be a part of Cultural United World".

Treto Uvo recently started its own department for film and video production. We produced a project on the traditional musical instruments in Macedonia such as: kaval (flute), gajda (bagpipe), tamboura, tapan (drum), zurla etc. The main aim of this department is protection and affirmation of the cultural heritage of Macedonia.

In 2008 Treto Uvo released a DVD called "Life in motion", dedicated to the life and career of the famous Macedonian Prima Ballerina - Tanja Vujisic Todorovska.

In 2010 Treto Uvo produced extraordinary project, the luxury monograph called "Amazing Macedonia", a Book and DVD video that contains photos of the most beautiful sights and original natural sounds from Macedonia. View more on www.amazingmacedonia.com.mk.
